Roles & Responsibilities:

Participating in the design, analysis, and execution of all technical aspects of electronic products and projects which meet or exceed the hardware requirements.
Ensure design solutions meet product specifications and functional requirements on performance, reliability, serviceability, compliance with regulatory standards.
Prototype and implement new product design including analogue and digital hardware

Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in design and development of Electronics Hardware circuits and system.
Design knowledge and experience in major aspect of Electronics: Power Electronics, Motor control, Analog, Digital and sensing technology with its interfacing.
Have understanding on Embedded ARM Cortex microcontroller-based platforms/PLC.
Working Knowledge of Schematic capture, PCB layout software.
Experience in EMC will be an advantage.

HEAD OF RESEARCH (FLOW BATTERY)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and conduct research in development of high-power density vanadium redox flow battery stack.
Design, model, simulate, test, and characterize vanadium redox flow battery stacks of various sizes.
Perform material and electrochemical characterization (both in-situ and ex-situ techniques such as cell cycling, CV, EIS, segmented cell, polarization tests, pH tracing, spectroscopy, XRD, through plane/ in plane resistivity, etc.) to reduce the stack resistivity and improve the capability to operate at high current density.
Project management including project planning, progress tracking, manage resources, and work together with interns, research staffs and international collaborators.
Develop IPs and Publish in high quality journals.

The project requires an in-depth understanding of electrochemistry, simulation/modelling skills, material fabrication, material characterization tools, and engineering integration of various components of vanadium redox flow battery stacks. The candidate should be able to work on dynamic, product-oriented group and manage the multiple tasks independently.

Requirements:

A PhD degree from a reputed university in disciplines like electrochemistry, material science or mechanical engineering, etc.
In-depth knowledge of battery technology, with research experience in vanadium redox flow battery.
A good publication track record.
Experience with carbon electrodes and material fabrication for flow batteries
Experience with physical characterization, chemical characterization, and electrochemical characterization tools (e.g. cell cycling, polarization test, static cell test, segmented cell test, pH tracing, XPS, XRD, FTIR, resistance test, etc.)
A self-driven person with multi-tasking capability, team player and capable to form a good working environment.
Skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation (Ansys Fluent) will be good.

CLOUD SOFTWARE ENGINEER (IOT)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and Collaborate on IoT products and solution in cloud based IoT Platform by interfacing Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management System (BMS).
Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance of IoT Cloud Software stack in Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management System (BMS).
You should be familiar with the operation of ESS (Energy Storage Systems) and implement various energy and battery management graphs and data display and will need to have passion for battery and energy management solutions.
You should follow software development lifecycle practices including design and reviews, testing and regression, revision control, and user documentation.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in computer/electronics engineering or relevant discipline with minimum 2 years of relevant professional development experience.
Must have software development experience in C/C++, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, JSON and SQL or other relevant programming languages.
Experience with IOT cloud technology, instrumental monitoring, remote monitoring and IoT Device knowledge (Gateway, Sensor).

You will be involved in the Development of cloud monitoring systems, GUI in human machine interface (HMI) for different battery products.

Requirements:

PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Roles & Responsibilities

VFlowTech (VFT) is reinventing energy storage with Vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable Vanadium redox flow batteries in the world. VFT storage solution has an expected life span of 25 years and is proven to be one of the safest and most environmentally friendly battery technologies. VFT founders have deep experience in the renewable space, and Vanadium redox flow technology in particular. VFT is a spin-off of the CleanTech lab of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and benefits from unique IP arising from many years of intensive research at NTU. We have a role for a candidate in Supply Chain for the following responsibilities:

Evaluation and procurement of mechanical and electrical components
Strategically partner with organizational stakeholders to source and procure services and materials needed for battery energy storage system
Negotiate price terms and conditions with contractors/vendors; ensure price competitiveness
Manage the commercial/technical review and contract negotiation for all major equipment and construction contracts throughout the lifecycle of the process
Work closely with the engineering, development, technology and accounts teams to analyze procurement options that are consistent with established budgets.
Issue request for proposals (RFP’s), perform bid evaluations, negotiate prices and contracts to include price, schedule, scope, performance guarantees, specifications, and other legal and commercial terms favorable to VFlowTech

Requirements:

2-4 years of progressively responsible technical, engineering, manufacturing management, or heavy industry procurement experience; energy storage experience a plus.

We Are Looking For IoT Engineering Interns Who Will Work On Developing IoT Products And Solutions For Our Customers In The Domains Of Energy-Storage And Smart Grid. PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Roles & Responsibilities

VFlowTech (VFT) is reinventing energy storage with Vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable Vanadium redox flow batteries in the world. VFT storage solution has an expected life span of 25 years and is proven to be one of the safest and most environmentally friendly battery technologies. VFT founders have deep experience in the renewable space, and Vanadium redox flow technology in particular. VFT is a spin-off of the CleanTech lab of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and benefits from unique IP arising from many years of intensive research at NTU. First in Singapore to develop and deliver environment-friendly smart redox flow batteries to customers globally.

We have a role for a candidate in Supply Chain for the following responsibilities:

Evaluation and procurement of mechanical and electrical components
Strategically partner with organizational stakeholders to source and procure services and materials needed for battery energy storage system
Negotiate price terms and conditions with contractors/vendors; ensure price competitiveness
Manage the commercial/technical review and contract negotiation for all major equipment and construction contracts throughout the lifecycle of the process
Work closely with the engineering, development, technology and accounts teams to analyze procurement options that are consistent with established budgets.
Issue request for proposals (RFP’s), perform bid evaluations, negotiate prices and contracts to include price, schedule, scope, performance guarantees, specifications, and other legal and commercial terms favorable to VFlowTech
Arrange, track, and expedite the timely delivery of services, materials, and equipment to meet site expectations, holds self and others accountable for meeting milestones.
Issue, track/monitor and follow-up Purchase Orders to suppliers
Establish a process for documenting sourcing activities and inventory of battery energy storage system equipment
Establish procurement standard operating procedures
Manage RMA
Handle shipping matters (e.g. LC, etc.) and monitoring of purchases
Assist with invoicing and payment matters

Requirements:

2-4 years of progressively responsible technical, engineering, manufacturing management, or heavy industry procurement experience; energy storage experience a plus.
Excellent understanding of Supply Chain
Willingness and ability to travel both locally and internationally for battery services, material, equipment, and contracts.
Knowledge of contracts, price negotiation and vendor management.
Ability to source innovatively and evaluate bids and proposals including review of procurement documents.
Extensive knowledge with established, recognized procurement practices.
Good knowledge in shipping and payment practices
Prior relationships with vendors is a plus

PRINCIPAL POWER SYSTEM ENGINEER (BATTERY)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead The Design And Development Of The Power Control System For Flow Battery, Which Includes Design Of DC Side Topology (Battery Stacks, DC-DC Converters, Protection Circuits) To Ac Output (DC-AC Inverter Selection, Power Distribution System).
Produce SLD, BOM, GA Of Complete Power Components For Fabrication And Work Closely With Inverter Suppliers, Panel Builders And Other Vendors To Develop MWh ESS System.
Perform Circuit Analysis And Simulation Before The Physical Development.
Responsible For The System Integration, Testing And Commissioning. All The Development Should Be Of Industrial Standards And Match IEC Standards.

Develop And Conduct Research In Development Of High Power Density Vanadium Redox Flow Battery Stack.
Design, Model, Simulate, Test, And Characterize Vanadium Redox Flow Battery Stacks Of Various Sizes.
Perform Material And Electrochemical Characterization (Both In-Situ And Ex-Situ Techniques Such As Cell Cycling, CV, EIS, Segmented Cell, Polarization Tests, PH Tracing, Spectroscopy, XRD, Through Plane/ In Plane Resistivity, Etc.) To Reduce The Stack Resistivity And Improve The Capability To Operate At High Current Density.
Project Management Including Project Planning, Progress Tracking, Manage Resources, And Work Together With Interns, Research Staffs And International Collaborators.
Develop IPs And Publish In High Quality Journals.

Responsibilities:

Testing of the flow battery system during FAT (factory acceptance test) following the test procedures and prepare test and QC reports
Installation, testing and commissioning of our batteryon site at customer sites in various countries
Provide support and guidance to customer for electrical connection of the battery to renewables, DG and loads.
Filling of the liquid electrolyte in the battery with strictly following the safety standards, as per service documents provided.
Testing of PCB circuit boards, relays, BMS components, sensor signals, protection components, ACDB, DCDB etc before turning on of the system.
Configure battery inverter to set the requirement as per country standards.
Use of external DC power supply to pre charge the battery, following the service manual.
Troubleshoot of the various problems that may arise during the operation of the battery including hardware and software issues.
Communicate with Singapore headquarter for remote support and reporting.
Remote monitoring of all the battery units deployed and track of operation and troubleshoot problem if arises
Generate on-site service report and documents clear problem statements and resolving.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline with minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in power management/control Industry. Previous work experience on battery technology would be beneficial.
You should have strong and relevant background in working in a hardware engineering
You should be familiar with the various power topologies and design considerations
You will be frequently required to travel for business.
You should be good at on-site problem identification and rectifying.
Hands-on independent problem solver

Lead The Hardware Design And Components Sourcing For Developing Battery Charge Controller
PCB Layout Design, Fabrication, And Testing For The Major Circuit Boards In BMS Hardware System. E.G. Sensor Boards, Protection Power Board, MCU And ADC Board, And Communication Circuit.
